I did not realize that this car existed until today. It’s a LSEV, or “low speed electric vehicle”, for the Chinese market. Retailing at only around $8,000, I find it decently attractive for such a small car (though the proportions are a bit awkward).

The dual tone paint job seems relatively well-executed, and the interior also looks pretty good for what it is, though the steering wheel is seemingly out of place. The center stack has a 10" touchscreen, which acts as a navigation unit, and also controls air conditioning.

I’m surprised that Zotye, the company which copied the Macan, Q3, and more, is actually capable of delivering a decent design from the ground up. Makes me wonder why they didn’t do so in the first place.

I feel like I’d rather spend not that much more for a Mirage, which can go over 300 miles on a tank and only needs a couple of minutes to refill with more dinojuice.

I like the CarPlay rip-off on the center screen.

I dig it. It’s like a Fit and a Spark had a baby.

Definitely some Honda flair there.

I won’t say that it wasn’t inspired by the ForTwo, but it sure isn’t a full-on copy.

All small cars seem to be badly proportioned these days. I don’t know when everyone decided they all had to look like phone booths, but at one time even smaller cars attempted to follow some variant of the proper long hood/short deck arrangement with low rooflines.

Agreed; if anything, it looks like a cartoon Honda Fit.

It’s probably as good as you can make such a tiny car look.
